• Google Guidelines Material Design this is not as helpful as the Microsoft guidelines as it is more theoretical than practice.
• Apple: IOS User Interface Guidelines
• Design Guidelines based on Jacob Neilson's and Rolf Molich's ten design principles with examples from Photoshop
• Understanding Web UI Design Principles with many good examples to illustrate the principle.
• Smashing Magazine: 10 Principles of Effective Web Design with some good references and examples of user behaviour
• Apple: UI Design - Do's and Dont's some simple examples
• Architecting Usability: Understanding your user Characteristics a short but useful article/blog
